H. Testing Reports Stacy Lawson from Prometric gave an overview of 2013 1st quarter testing numbers. She also updated the Council on their move from Minnesota to Maryland.

I. Counsel’s Report 1. Standards for In-Service Training for CNAs 2. February CNA Rules Report A motion was made by Gackenheimer to open rule regarding in-service providers for development. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. A motion was made by Gackenheimer to approve language as amended. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

J. Executive Director’s Report

Mr. Baker highlighted the Board’s new website and centennial celebration.

L. CNA Issues for Discussion 1. CNA Expenditures by Function Mr. Baker highlighted that the Council is cash positive for the first time in many years when the licensed and unlicensed activity accounts are combined.

E. Executive Director - Mr. Baker highlighted the new Board website and thanked staff and board members for

helping at the Capitol to celebrate its launch along with the Centennial. - Sherri Sutton-Johnson will be leading the Board’s hosting of a NCLEX workshop in May.

The Nursing Education Unit has held quarterly calls with education programs, which have been very successful.

- The Nursing Education Unit will have a new Regulatory Specialist III (a downgraded nurse consultant vacancy) position to assist the unit with research and administrative functions.

- Notified members of the $10 million sweep for fiscal year 13-14. - Reminded members to submit travel reimbursement within 10 days. - Highlighted the Centennial proclamation issued by Governor Scott. Ratifications
