    With telephone numbers, each digit is stressed

    and said separately.

    Notes for Saying Telephone Numbers

    Notice that 0 can be read either oh orzero.

    Also, notice that the numbers are grouped into

    two, three orfour digits: five eight / six two

    one (58-621). If the same number occurs, the

    word double is used: double eight / three five

    eight (88-358).

    Country code and area code are also said asgroup. For example: the country code for

    Australia is 61, Nagasaki is 958 and Japan 81.

    addresses themselves; hotel staff have to check and

    sometimes repeat those addresses.

    To ask for a person s address, you can say:
