ReadyGEN is an integrated and well-balanced approach to reading and writing instruction for Grades K-6 classrooms. Authentic texts with modeling and teacher-directed activities drive learning and motivate readers. Students read authentic literary and informational texts. Instruction focuses on reading, writing, speaking, and listening in response to authentic texts.

Determining a “Just Right” Book…. Using the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment Systems to determine student’s independent and instructional reading levels, teachers are able to observe student reading behaviors one-on-one, engage in comprehension conversations that go beyond retelling, and make informed decisions that connect assessment to instruction.

What is it? Teachers’ most reliable resource to accurately and reliably identify each child’s instructional and independent reading levels according to the A-Z leveling gradient through one-on-one formative assessment and summative assessment.

Measures of Academic Progress or “MAP” is a computer adaptive achievement diagnostic that accurately measures performance and proficiency—whether a student performs on, above, or below grade level. The computer adjusts the difficulty of the questions so that each student takes a unique “assessment.” This data helps educators to pinpoint the individual learning needs. Map covers reading, language usage and math.
