Jim Wilson (District 1, Department 2)Judge Jim Wilson has practiced law for 28 years – 21 of those as a solo practitioner. He served as District Attorney from 1983 to 1986. Wilson graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Business Administration, University of Nevada, Reno, in 1977.

Linda Gardner (District 2, Department 14 – Family Division)Judge Linda Gardner is a Nevada native who served for five years as the Washoe County Family Court Master. Prior to this, Gardner held various positions with the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, including Deputy District Attorney (Child Protective Services Unit) and Deputy District Attorney (Domestic

Violence Unit). While in private practice, Gardner focused on the areas of family law and bankruptcy. Gardner graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno and received her law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law.

William Rogers (District 3, Department 3)Judge William Rogers has been a judge for more than seven years. He served two terms as a judge in Dayton Justice Court. Rogers was also elected and served twice as Lyon County District Attorney. Rogers received a Bachelor of Arts in political science & economics from Northeastern Illinois State University and received his

law degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Michael Montero (District 6, Department 2)Judge Michael Montero is a Nevada native. After his father’s death, Montero took over as president of the family ranching operation in Humboldt County, the Pine Forest Land & Stock Co., Inc. He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Nevada Cattlemen’s

Kathleen E. Delaney (District 8, Department 25)Judge Kathleen E. Delaney is a Las Vegas native. She graduated from the Colorado College, and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following law school, she practiced as an attorney in California, specializing in labor and litigation. She returned to Las Vegas in 1992 as the assistant general counsel for

The Mirage Casino-Hotel. She worked for Mirage Resorts, Inc. for nine years. Since 2001, she has served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, handling civil, criminal and administrative cases.

FAMILY DIVISION

Kenneth E. Pollock (District 8, Department J)Judge Kenneth E. Pollock received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego, and his law degree from University of San Diego School of Law. While practicing law with Pollock & Associates, he represented both individuals and corporations in many types of cases. He served as an Alternate Municipal Judge for the Las

Vegas Municipal Court and as a Senior Attorney/Judge in the Trial by Peers program. Pollock is a founding member of the Los Angeles Family Law Indigent Paternity Panel (FLIPP). FLIPP is a group of attorneys who assist low-income families in resolving paternity and child support issues.

Cynthia N. Giuliani (District 8, Department K)Judge Cynthia N. Giuliani has practiced law in Clark County for more than 13 years, focusing on the areas of divorce, custody, guardianship, support cases, adoption, parental rights and dissolution of marriage matters. Giuliani graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts. She received her law degree from the City

University of New York Law School. She is licensed to practice law in both Nevada and New York.

Association, as State Committee Chairman of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency and is a past president of the Humboldt County Farm Bureau. Montero graduated from Oregon State University and received his law degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

Linda Marie Bell (District 8, Department 7)Judge Linda Bell grew up in Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with honors, majoring in psychology. She received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. After graduation, Bell went to work for a Las Vegas law firm where she specialized in writing briefs for complex medical cases. Over the years,

and with a move to a larger firm, she was able to branch into other practice areas including family law, civil, criminal and juvenile delinquency, and dependency cases. She has worked in the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the past six years.

Doug Smith (District 8, Department 8)Judge Doug Smith has been a judge in Clark County for 15 years. Before his election to the bench, he worked as a prosecutor and defense attorney. He is dedicated to defending the rights of senior citizens and serves on the board of directors of the Senior Citizen Law Project. Smith received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University

and his law degree from Whittier College School of Law.

Stefany Miley (District 8, Department 23)Judge Stefany A. Miley was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Miley graduated from Texas A&M University. She received her law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. As part of her studies, Miley clerked for Judge Nancy C. Oesterle, Justice Court, Las Vegas Township. Following this clerkship, Miley started her legal career

in Las Vegas, practicing in the areas of civil litigation, probate and estate litigation, family law, criminal law and juvenile law. In 2004, Miley was elected District Court Judge, Family Division, Department F.

Mathew Harter (District 8, Department N)Judge Mathew Harter is a native Nevadan. Following graduation and a clerkship with Family Court Judge Gerald W. Hardcastle, Harter started his own practice, focusing on family law. Since 2004, he has served as an arbitrator for District Court. Harter attended University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where he received his undergraduate degree. He received his

law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Frank P. Sullivan (District 8, Department O)Judge Frank P. Sullivan received his law degree from DePaul University in his native Chicago. He moved to Nevada in 1984 and went to work as Nevada Deputy Attorney General in 1986. In the following years he went to work for the family court, serving as pro tem domestic violence commissioner, alternate juvenile hearing master, domestic violence

commissioner and, most recently, juvenile hearing master. In addition to extensive community service, Sullivan also lectures full-time for UNLV’s college of business, teaching business law classes and MBA classes. He is often a guest lecturer at Boyd School of Law on the subject of domestic violence.

Bryce Duckworth (District 8, Department Q)Judge Bryce Duckworth has been practicing family law for 16 years. As a partner at the firm of Smith, Larsen & Wixom, he dealt with issues of child custody, child support, spousal support, pensions, and asset division and valuation. He is chairman of the Family Law Executive Council for Nevada. He

received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Utah.

William Henderson (District 8, Department R)Before his election to the bench, Judge Bill Henderson was a solo practitioner and owner of the Law Office of William G. Henderson, Ltd. His practice focused primarily on family law, but included some criminal and personal injury cases. Henderson has served as an Alternate Judge at Family Court for temporary

restraining orders and as an Alternate Judge in child support cases. Henderson received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) and his Juris Doctorate from the Washburn University School of Law.
