Lookout point provides you with a view of two very basic characteristics of a river; a cut bank and a point bar.

A Cut Bank is on the outside of a river bend.

A Point Bar is located on the inside of a river bend.

Bedrock is the solid rock that is under gravel, soil, and other material.

Folds in the bedrock are caused by pressure, heat, and stress.

It is exposed on the Earth’s surface through a combination of faulting

and erosion.
