haired Chihuahua

She was born to Applehead Kennels, owner Lana Elswick,

from Raceland Kentucky

She was born April 15, 2006

She weighed less than an ounce

She was the size of a woman’s thumb

She had to be fed with an eye dropper because

she was too small to nurse

Because of her size at birth, it was a miracle

she survived

Lana knew she had a special dog it wasn’t

until later she realized how special

Soon to be a Star

The rest is history

She inquired on applying for the title

She knew that Boo was smaller than either one

Owner, Lana Elswick heard of two dogs competing for the title

The Papers were Filed

Lana made an application to the Guinness

Book of World Records

She was measured for

the title on May 12, 2007

This was during the Spring Fling at the Ashland-

Boyd County Animal Park

Little did anyone know this was Boo Boo’s start of

her fame.

BOO BOO GAINS PUBLICITY

She has made several public appearances

She has gained worldwide publicity

The newspapers follow her through her journey to fame.

Boo Boo quickly became a star stealing the hearts of people everywhere

Boo Boo and her owner Lana made their first

national appearance on the Regis and Kelly Live

Show in New York

Boo Boo got to meet the actress Eva Mendez

and was warmly welcomed by the staff

Boo Boo Travels on

Boo Boos next adventure was to a

photo shoot with the World’s Tallest Dog

Gibson

Though much smaller than Gibson, Boo Boo was not intimidated. They became friends

quickly.

Boo Boo’s fame spread quickly

The Today show had her on Live on the Plaza

Oprah had her as a guest on her show

Worldwide Boo Boo had became famous

Word traveled fast and far

Boo flew to Italy to make a taping for the Guinness Book of World Records

Japan got in the action

Boo Boo flew to New York to tape a live video to be aired throughout Japan

Animal Planet has made several videos at Boo Boo’s home

They have been shown on national

Most recently Wednesday September 15, 2010 Boo Boo appeared on television

She was guest with other Guinness Book Record holders including the new holder of the World’s Largest Dog, George

While in New York, Boo Boo, along with George, the World’s tallest dog, participated in a World Press Conference with coverage that spread all over the world
