DIFFERENT MUSICSAME CAUSEMilwaukee and the surrounding Midwest has many faces in music and is known for the music festivals. It brings people together who all have interest in one thing: music. Medley Threads is based out of Milwaukee and is run by the music lovers that want to share their appreciation for all local musicians/music. They created the Medley Threads Music Festival to raise awareness for local causes while bringing different music genres together in one place. For one weekend in May, Medley Threads hopes to expose Milwaukee to it’s musical roots and to benefit those who need support.

DOUBLE DROPMILWAUKEE, WIPLAYING AT 12P

DoubleDrop is an up and coming Milwaukee based DJ and Producer, Performing All over the Midwest. DoubleDrop is one third of Culture (Culture) a three way DJ trio comprised of OCD Automatic and Diamonds of The Glamour. CODEBREAKERCHICAGO, ILPLAYING AT 1P

Codebreaker is criminally infectious. Codebreaker is Steven Hawley and Sage Schwarm, specialists at making summer magic all year round. An irresistible mix of the timeless, warm sound of funk with exciting modern extrapolations on disco, italo, electro, filter house & more…Their last 12” single, “Follow Me” quickly caught the attention of world-class taste makers including The Juan MacLean (DFA/NYC), Bottin (Italians Do It Better/Venice), and The Outrunners (Valerie/FR), all of who gave the single remix treatments. OCD AUTOMATIC CHICAGO, ILPLAYING AT 2P

Everytime he plays, it seems he has some new tricks up his sleeve to wow the crowds. His debut mixtape, “30 Minute Obsession”, is bursting at the seams with original edits and blends showcasing his skill as a dj and remixer. It’s so nice to have someone as talented as OCD Automatic promoting the dance music scene in Wisconsin. Expect great things from this kid, he’s one of my favorites. Without further adu, it’s time for OCD Automatic’s “30 Minute Obsession”! (3)

KID COLORCHICAGO, ILPLAYING AT 3P

Kid Color brings his disco inspired tunes and high energy to the table at every set. The young DJ keeps the party going with his timeless colorful vibe. Kid Color first gained recognition by being mentored under well known Chicago DJ/promoters Dark Wave Disco who work with DJs such as Steve Aoki and Tommie Sunshine and acts such as The Faint, MSTRKRFT, and Justice. He’s been breaking capacity at every party and reviving the meaning of “dance” and its importance to society. Everybody has a favorite color and Kid appeals to the whole spectrum. (4)

BLACK HOLESCHICAGO, ILPLAYING AT 4P

Black Holes’ fascination of putting on electronic sounds was aroused within the Chicago club scene in the late 90ies: He debuted with several releases and approached ambitiously the art of mixing sounds. Soon after, the open-minded Chicago based DJ moved forward to the energetic electro-sound producing his first electro-vinyl Slip & Slide with Micha Moor for the Chicago label Scream and Shout Recordings, which paved directly the way onto the playlists of reputable DJ celebrities. From then on, there was no way to stop him making a go of his passion. (5)

RICHARD RICHARDMILWAUKEE, WIPLAYING AT 5P

Richard Richard is one half of The Glamour and is based in Milwaukee. You can mostly see him playing shows at Red Room, MOCT, and the Mirimar. Sometimes he will travel to play some shows in Chicago with a few of his other close dj friends. But Milwaukee is where he loves to be. (6)

THE GLAMOURMILWAUKEE, WIPLAYING AT 7P

Milwaukee based producers and DJ duo; The Glamour is comprised of Asher Gray (Diamonds) and Richard Galling (Richard Richard). Established in 1999, the group’s longstanding interest in House music motivated their perspective on what they would create together. Being a short distance from Chicago, many of the legends frequented Milwaukee, influencing its own small scene. Experiencing much of this from an early age, The Glamour’s approach became highly influenced by the past. They attempt to meld these classic sounds with a current approach, creating a unique mixture all their own. (8)

ASHER DIAMONDSMILWAUKEE, WIPLAYING AT 8P

Diamonds, aka Asher Gray, is one half of Milwaukee-born production and DJ duo The Glamour. Currently signed to fidget superstar Herve’s Cheap Thrills label, The Glamour’s next Herve-pro-duced single “Love Burn” will be released in early January. The Glamour have been involved with TML since the beginning, and Asher always brings the party hard. Sovietpanda (resident DJ Peter Lansky) will be rounding out the night as usual, so don’t sleep on this! (9)

Milwau-kee Habitat also rehabilitates condominium units in the Woodlands neighborhood and renovates existing homes through the A Brush with Kindness program. We build and renovate homes for families and individuals in need of sustainable housing. We strive to unite the residents of the greater Milwaukee area around the cause of affordable housing. Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is a leading advocate for affordable housing, and is the largest non-profit home builder in Southeastern Wisconsin. It is our goal to ensure that every resident of Milwaukee has access to decent and affordable housing and to make affordable housing a pr ior i ty for the community.

The Cathedral Center provides emergency shelter and case management services for women and families who are homeless or experiencing a housing crisis. Families served include single mothers or fathers, as well as married couples with children.
