Crossing the limits ….

There is a multi million pound drugs industry in operation whose sole purpose is to enable some sportsmen and women to illegally enhance their performance

It is a very expensive, serious and dangerous game of cat and mouse

Now, new drugs become available and there is improved masking of drugs to help users avoid detection

Naive performers and corrupt or inefficient testing laboratories leave the careers and personal lives of some innocent performers in tatters, while guilty competitors go free

What should be done ?

Stricter, more rigorous and out of season testing

Stricter punishments Co-ordinated education programmes

for athletes and coaches which highlight the health and moral issues surrounding drugs and sport

Unified policies about the issue
