BlueSystem – simple and practicalHardly any medication process is the same as another. A home has other work processes as those of a medical or surgical department of a hospital. BlueSystem through its wide range of components optimally supports each work style.

MediDispenserEffectively avoid mistakes: sequentially prepare the distribution of medication for 24 hours.

The various sizes, formats and partitions of the blue medication dispensers satisfy every requirement. Sim-ple medication therapies are prepared and stored in the smaller MediDispensers. For complex therapies, there is a selection of large, freely divisible dispensers. Medicines that are too bulky can remain in their original packaging. On discharge from hospital, it is often the case that medi-cal staff gives a patient the useful blue aids to take home.

BlisterBox and DosysDispenser for machine blistered tablets in strips.

Solid oral drugs for a seven-day period are prepared in a personal BlisterBox for the patient. Completely prepared medication for up to 22 patients can be placed on a universal distribution tray. An administration dose for a patient forms a unit consisting of a dosing system including the label holder, blister bag holder, MediCup and storage boxes. Medicines for patients, who are not yet included in the blistering process, are prepared using the MediDispenser.

Distribution traysNo more confusion: medication doses fixed into grooves and sorted by room and patient.

The MediDispenser, MediCups and storage con-tainers for syringes, etc. are securely fixed to the distribution tray. This makes the distribution of the medication therapies extremely efficient. The light-weight distribution trays can be taken anywhere. The flexible system supports a variety of medication administration processes. Thanks to the clear over-view, dispensing errors can be easily avoided.

de Labelling and labelsLabels for printers, waterproof and erasable pens, pre-printed labels.

The MediDispenser must be assigned clearly to the patient. It is advantageous to label the MediDispenser with the administration times. Word-templates for a variety of labels can be found under www.wiegand.ch, facilitating the filling in of the labels on a computer.

Preparation and administration aidsUnpack, refill and crush medications: aids for dispensing.

MediCups, OralDispensers, and medication bags are ide-ally suited for hygienic administration. After an application they are disposed of. The MediCups can be pre-prepared in large MediDispensers. Their colour code assigns, for example, a fixed delivery time. Medication bags are par-ticularly suitable for effervescent tables and split tablets in a dispenser. Tablet mortars and tablet splitters com-plete the range that noticeably facilitates day care.

WiBox pro, week container and WeekBoxCompact packaging for 7 to 8 MediDispensers.

As an alternative to the trays, the MediDis-pensers can be provided in a WiBox pro, week container or in a WeekBox, for example, for the holidays. For therapies consisting of many medications or with more than four dispensing times, the larger sizes of the week containers and WeekBoxes are suitable.

Storage traysEfficient: safely prepare multi-day medication therapies, save storage space for prepared therapies.

In the case of long-term therapies, the day therapies hardly change. By preparing the week tray a week in advance it also acts as a storage tray for seven Medi-Dispensers. The storage trays are kept in WIEGAND® trolleys and cabinets. They are also suitable for storing blue dispensers for seven to eight patients.

WIEGAND® FlexLine trolleysThe durable WIEGAND® FlexLine trolleys are maintenance free and can be upgraded later or even rebuilt; many of which are in use for over 20 years. WIEGAND® grants a 5 year warranty on its FlexLine trolleys.

Week system and storage trolleysStorage trays for storing seven to eight MediDispensers.

The trolleys enables dispensers to be space-efficiently stored on storage trays. Often, not all medications have space in the MediDispenser due to their being too large or there is not enough space for the appropriate dose. The Swiss-Modul trays and the TRESTON® containers or drawers are suitable for storing ointments, drops, and bottles, etc. The trolley can be equipped with a narcotics or aids draw. The trolleys that are provided with a lateral work surface and disinfectant dispenser are also suitable for the preparation and distribution of medications.

Blister trolleysStore medication in blister packs and any additional medication for a week.

The WIEGAND® trolley transports and stores a patient’s BlisterBoxes and on-demand medication in SwissModul trays. Safe and clearly arranged. Each type of trolley is available with favourable shelving profiles or sturdy and comfortable full extensions. The WIEGAND® blister trolley is available in different heights and widths.

OT, emergency, anaesthesia or ICU trolleysComponents and construction methods according to size: the custom-designed trolley.

Many customers establish their own level of standards when hav-ing a trolley custom made and regularly order trolleys according to variants of their custom design. Vast experience and a powerful design department make this possible. Thanks to our construction department and our vast experience, the standard products that we individually produce are manufactured to a high quality and good price-performance ratio.

FlexLine cabinetsMany varieties and colours, durable, easy to move: designer cabinets in robust steel frame construction.

The FlexLine cabinets are ideal for the BlueSystem. Equipped with roller shutters, soft-close drawers, oblique extension frames, electronic drawers and much more, they serve almost any purpose. They are easy to transport and thus offer themselves as an ideal transi-tional solution during re-building.

WIEGAND® MedManager – electronic supportTo provide safe medication and efficient logistics in healthcare, Wiegand offers with MedManager the basis for individual solutions. The innovative and comprehensive system for entire logistics processes and Medication-Closed-Loop

PrepStation DayThe PrepStation Day supports the setting up and preparation of all medication. It ensures medication management and the ability to charge costs.

In addition, all process steps are traceable. On the basis of the electronic prescription, all relevant information about the drug, its preparation and administration are displayed.

PrepStation WeekElectronic workstation for weekly preparation. The LED-guide helps with the correct filling of the dispensers.

The modern supply of medication in residential care and nursing homes is centrally controlled. PrepStation Week provides a safe correlation between the patient and precise daily allocation of the medication. A week-tray holds and neatly divides a patient’s medication into seven days. Medication that is not prepared in the dispensers is prepared for single patients in individual personalised containers for a week.

PrepStation PanelAs an addition to the PrepStation Day and PrepStation Week, everything can be prepared using the PrepStation Panel; easy to execute without the direct support of dispensers or weekly systems.

In a hospital, parenteral and topical medicines can be prepared using this. In a residential care and nursing home the Panels serve in the departments.

AutoInventory® –an innovative solutionFully automatic, intelligent restock control thanks to continuously updated inventory.

AutoInventory is an logistics system that automatically transmits a ward’s requirements-request to the central enterprise resource planning system (SAP, Navision, Nexus, Opale, etc.). Thanks to the continuously updat-ed inventory control of the electronic scales, current stock levels are available at any time. On this basis, the system calculates the required quantities of items for the respective wards.

WiKanban – simple cabinet managementWiKanban is an effortless and cost-effective electronic supply management using article cards.

On the basis of the actual demand for goods, the order quan-tities and reorder point for each item are predefined. To make an order, the nurse takes the corresponding white card. The remaining yellow cards indicate that the restock has already been ordered. A logistics assistant scans the barcode and this triggers an order in the supply management system. The logis-tics assistant fills the ordered goods again and puts the white card back into its place.

CockPit administrationThe MedManager CockPit is accessed through a browser and allows the control and monitoring of all defined processes.

In addition to the current overview of the entire medication process for each individual patient, orders can be placed and incoming goods checked using either a PC or a Tab-let. CockPit also provides a detailed analysis of all data and exports these reports into an Excel file.

MedManager App – on site informationThe only requirement for using the App is a smartphone with a scanner.

Such an enabled device allows you to view and edit all the important information and makes this available anytime and anywhere, whether in the nursing station or at the patient’s bedside. The future work-device for nursing staff is a smartphone with Apps that support their work.
