What are these pathogens?

When we are ill we can use different types of drugs

• Anti-fungals

• Antivirals

• Analgesics

Anti-fungals

• Treat fungal infections • Either kill the fungi or stop them reproducing• Fungi tend to infect nails, hair and skin

What examples can you give?

Antivirals

• Treat infections causes by viruses (e.g. the flu)

• They stop the virus multiplying

Analgesics

• Provide pain relief for lots of different problems
