Cosmodent dental practice

Welcome to the Cosmodent, dental center in Zagreb. We

cover a wide spectrum of dental implantology indications

using highest standards of dental surgery and sterilization

that exists in Europe and the US.

Visiting our dental practice is nothing like a traditional

visit to the dentist. Our dental practices are equipped with

very latest equipment and highly trained staff in a friendly,

relaxed atmosphere.

All our patient, domestic and from abroad, during

consultation, will have an in-depth assessment of their

needs, including, where necessary, panoramic x-rays and

digital imaging.

YOUR DENTIST

Ivica Pelivan, DMD, MSc, graduated in 2003 at the School of Dental

Medicine, University of Zagreb. Since 2004 he has worked as Assistant

Lecturer and scientist at Department of Prosthodontics, School of Dental

Medicine, University of Zagreb.

In 2008 he obtained his master’s degree in Possible usage of 3d-

accelerometry in analysis of mandibular motion.

He is the winner of IADR 2006 Travel Stipend award for his scientifi c

work in prosthodontics. In 2006 he opened Cosmodent - private dental

practice in Zagreb, Croatia. During last fi ve years he has attended

many clinical courses, workshops and congresses in the fi eld of dental

implantology and dental implant prosthodontics.

DENTAL TREATMENT AND PROCEDURES

The Cosmodent team of experts will offer you several treatment options that are primarily based on minimal invasive dentistry. They

are specialists in aesthetic dentistry and implant/prosthetics but also offer a whole range of dental services.

Restorative dentistry

Modern tooth bonding techniques allow rapid, painless and much less expensive cosmetic dentistry. Bonded bridges, porcelain

laminates and porcelain crowns have rendered dentures all but unnecessary.

CERAMIC VENEERS

These very thin, practically invisible ceramic plates are cemented to existing teeth to change your smile and solve all aesthetic

problems that patients with severe discoloration or tooth destruction face.

ORAL SURGERY

This combines simple surgical procedures such as teeth extraction, wisdom

tooth extraction, apicotomy and root canals. The clinic is specialized for

both simple and complicated surgical procedures such as: gingivectomy,

gingivoplastic, vestibuloplastic surgery, bone augmentation, sinus lifting and

prosthetic surgery.

PERIODONTOLOGY

The branch of dentistry that studies the supporting structures of teeth known

as the periodontium, includes the gingival (gums), alveolar bone and the

periodontal ligaments. Periodontal disease is a result of bacterial infection of

the gums and, if untreated, it often leads to tooth loss and alveolar bone loss.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Implantology plays an important role in modern dentistry, being the fastest

growing branch of dentistry in the past decade. Implantology is a combination

of prosthetics and periodontal surgery that was invented 50 years ago. A dental

implant is a small titanium fi xture, which serves as the replacement for the root

portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant is placed in the upper or lower

jaw. It will bond with the bone over time and thus serve as an anchor for the

replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth

or many missing teeth.
