Certification Definition
The CMTP certification recognizes an understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes and terminology for the overall Medical Tourism industry
The CMTS certification recognizes an advanced understanding, skill experience and performance in the overall Medical Tourism industry
Training and Professional Work Experience Requirements
To achieve the CMTP designation an individual must:
⦁ Complete the full CMTP Basic training.
⦁ Achieve a 75% or higher on the exam.
To achieve the CMTS designation an individual must:
⦁ Maintain the CMTP Designation in Good Standing for a minimum of 3 years
⦁ Complete at least 10 Advanced modules.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Requirements
A minimum of 10 hours of continuing education are required each year or a total of 30 over 3 years in order to maintain the designation.
The MTA will accept other CEUs recognized by established professional development organizations, individuals or associations.
No more than 25% of credits can be from Non-MTA CEUs.
