About the program

What can I do with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology?

The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program is accredited by NAACLS. The curriculum is five semesters in length and includes coursework in chemistry, hematology, microbiology and immunohematology. Common laboratory tests may include rapid strep throat, complete blood count (CBC), testing for diabetes, or providing a blood transfusion to a trauma patient. Students spend the last semester in a clinical laboratory setting in a local hospital or clinic.
