The ProjectFounded in 1974, Medical City Dallas Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with over 1,200 physicians dedicated to delivering exceptional care. In 2013, Medical City announced a $85 million renovation that included a seven-story vertical expansion totaling 220,000 square feet.

The ChallengeDue to a lack of land to build on, the renovation needed to expand vertically, meaning daily hospital operations would continue during construction. Ensuring patients remained comfortable and undisturbed during this massive renovation was the number one priority to staff and contractors.

“The trust our patients and physicians place in us is sacred,” said Erol Akdamar, former CEO of Medical City. “We must ensure that we meet their expectations with not only the best care, but also the best technology and facilities.”

The SolutionSelecting the right emergency equipment can be incredibly confusing. And for a health facility as large and intricate as Medical City, choosing equipment that is trusted, efficient, and complies with national codes and standards was paramount.

Our team of representatives worked with Medical City project managers to identify solutions that would be cost effective and simple to install so hospital operations would continue seamlessly.

Our Eyesaver SensorFlo Eyewash was installed at select nurses’ stations throughout the hospital and combines a dual aerated eyewash with a fully functional faucet. For janitorial closets, we installed our Eyesaver SEF-9000 that’s equipped with an eyewash, drench hose and service faucet. Additionally, our Commander Widespread Faucet was installed in select bathrooms throughout the facility.
