Project Life Saver
A nonprofit organization that provides tracking devices to local
law enforcement agencies for individuals with autism at little to
no cost to families. These devices are funded by the Byrne Grant
Program through the Department of Justice, as a result of the
passage of Kevin and Avonte’s Law. The law provides $2 million in
funding for law enforcement, schools, and other organizations to
receive training to prevent and address the issue of wandering.
This money will also assist in the development of GPS trackers,
and make them more widely available to families of children with
autism.
