A double guide-type tendon sheath incision tool is developed as a surgical tool used to treat stenosing tenosynovitis (trigger finger).This surgical tool can treat trigger finger by using ultrasonic diagnosis, find the sheath where is restricting the tendon and incise about only 2mm to insert the tool and to cut the sheath. ITO CO., LTD., based in Tokyo, is a Japanese manufacturer of

physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment. The company, which

was founded in 1916 and had 100th year anniversary in 2016,

has been using MEDICA as a platform for conducting negotiations

with its agencies, finding new business partners, presenting new

products and getting to now new trends since 1998.

Masaki Watanabe is responsible for the participation in MEDICA and

is coordinating the meeting with agencies and new business

partners. “At MEDICA, we meet distributors from all over the world,

present new products to them and hold planning meetings with our

agencies. There is nothing more effective !”

And the following example shows how successful this can be : Via

the Italian distribution partner with which ITO got into contact at

MEDICA, the company is now supplying the renowned Italian football

club with palm-sized ultrasound therapy devices.

ITO is also aiming at sustainable success at the other fairs of the

“World of MEDICA” product family. “We first made contact with our

exclusive distribution partner in Thailand at MEDICA. Our business

relationship began at our second encounter – which was at the

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND. That was around five years ago, but we

are now generating an annual transaction volume of over 20 million

yen [175,000 Euros] with these partners. “says Watanabe.
