Summery From my audience research, I have learnt a lot. I designed

a questionnaire which people aged 16-18 gave their answers, so that I could produce some data that would then give me a strong idea of what my audience want to see in a music magazine.

I produced a slide with visuals of the most popular answers. I decided on this because it makes it more interesting than just reading lots of text. This slides shows images such as ITunes, YouTube etc, to show who my audience are familiar with. I can use this in my magazine.

I then produced pie charts which show my data that I collected clearly. This is a more solid way of showing my results. For example; you can clearly see that a certain amount of people would prefer to go the reading festival, than the Isle of Wight, now I have this information I know to include the Reading Festival in my magazine.

Summery After collecting my data and analysing what my audience want, I've

found that they would prefer to be spending between £3.00 to £3.50 on a music magazine, this information shall reflect on my magazine price.

I asked what would attract them more to a magazine, free CDs? Free posters? The most popular answer was ‘new gig tickets’ I can use this in my magazine, the next most popular was free CDs, this is something else I can include in my magazine.

I found that the most popular genre of music listened to is ‘Indie’ therefore I can provide my audience with Indie music entertainment in my magazine.

One question I asked was how do they listen to their music, the most popular was YouTube, then ITunes and then Illegal downloads, I can take this into consideration when making my magazine by including information about these and including links.

My final question was did they listen to the radio, the majority answered yes, therefore I can include information about different radio stations, this could interest my audience.

Analysis of Find my tribe

I took the questionnaire on the Find my Tribe website. I found the software easy to use and it was good that they always gave you a lot of multiple choice questions. But, after answering all of the questions, I disagree with the results, I came out as a ‘blinger’ I don’t think that determines what social group I belong to. But I think that it certain ways and with certain people it can reflect their personality.
