Media Statement Freelife Homes acknowledges that we have had significant difficulties fulfilling our purchasers’ requirements in a suitable timeframe and we understand the frustration this situation has caused. Our fast expansion over the past couple of years has resulted in delays and unfulfilled orders, which we have struggled to rectify. We are committed to resolving these issues as quickly and effectively as we can, allowing buyers to move forward with building their first home or investment property. Over the past few months we have been seeking to find a commercial solution that will involve bringing in additional capacity to finish homes faster. Unfortunately the nature of this kind of business negotiation requires commercial confidentiality and has limited our capacity to speak as openly as we would like with our clients. However, a potential solution is very close at hand and this will enable clients to have their homes completed. While we understand clients are frustrated, the alternative would result in even greater delays to clients. This week we proactively contacted all of our clients with a letter about the situation and allocated additional customer service staff to handle their enquiries. While there are a number of clients who are clearly very angry we were heartened to have many messages of support from clients who recognise we are genuinely trying to get this situation fixed as a matter of urgency. We have also been proactively keeping the Building Commission informed of our efforts to resolve the situation. ENDS
