This album cover represents the genre of bullet for my valentine, the genre is rock/heavy metal. Their music can be aggressive, and this album cover with just three colours, emphasises this.

The album cover is very grim. The black and red shows this and creates a bold image. The dead woman on the floor and the silhouette of the killer gives a clue to the type of music on the CD.

The band is represented in this because the lyrics to one of their songs tells the story to the image. And many of their songs have stories within them.

The band does not appear on the album cover. It seems to be more effective for them not to because it wouldn’t create a strong feeling of evil to it as the image it has.

Hollywood Undead are a mixture of hardcore, rock and rap. Looking at the album cover the band could be stereotyped as being gangster/ rap because of the hoodies and hats the are wearing. Also they could be stereotyped as being hard core rock. This is because they wear masks which also a well known rock band, Slipknot do too.

The band does appear on the front cover. This is works well because their mix of style represents their mix of genre.

The city at the top of the CD cover also indicates that the band may be looked at as having gangster kind of music, rebellious and rap.

One Night Only’s album ‘Started A Fire’ looks very relaxed, casual and oiginal. Them casually waling through a lit up underground walkway gives this effect.

One night only are an indie rock band. Their music is very chilled and the image on the album cover with them strolling along shows this.

The band are on the album cover. This is effective because the style of the band, what they are wearing and the whole image of the album show what the music is all about.

First impressions for this album cover are: bizzare, random, bold and crazy. The style of the font almost looks as if it has been scribbled. These suggests that the band are loud, punk or rock.

The fact that name of the album is scribbled all over the album cover, could give a stereotypical impression that the band are young. The design is like the back page of a high school book with many scribbles and doodles.

The album cover of ‘Pretty Odd’ by Panic at the Disco looks very dull, vintage, floral and calm. The style of the album cover indicates what some of the music would be like inside. Some of the band’s music on this album is described as 1960s styled retro pop. The vintage look to the album cover shows this. The album cover does not have the band on it. This means that the image of the band is not shown clearly.
