Audience

Q magazine targets rock and indie music lovers. I say this because, the magazine provides an exclusive on a different artist each issue, for example October 2014’s issue or Q 339 has a picture of Liam Gallagher on the front cover, but on Q 307, Lana Del Ray was the subject of the front cover.

Genre

Q magazine is a Music magazine.

Q magazine does not target one specific audience, making the magazine more successful because it appeals to a wider audience.

Q magazine changes its main stories each issue, examples of different artists to make the cover of Q are, Oasis, Coldplay and Lady Gaga, to name a few.

Reputation

Q magazine used to be the most succesful music magazine. Were talking about in the late 90’s and early 2000’s

Some critics of the magazine believe that Q has lost its edge, and is now playing it safe with who and what it covers, focusing more on popular and current bands rather than keeping its old style of a classic rock magazine

Q magazine sometimes tease readers into buying their magazine by releasing a free CD with a copy of the magazine.

Q have also released and a few rather unsuccessful albums, containing some of their favourite hits.
