The Health MarketThe global health and fitness market is growing every year as consumers spend more time and money on exercise and fitness related products than ever before. Health and attractiveness is the new status symbol.

Beyond the already established segment of sports apparel this market expansion has spawned the development of vibrant sub segments such as alternative fitness programs, nutrition & energy products, organic & natural food, sports nutrition and fitness devices.

SpainThe European health and fitness market held up remarkably well in spite of the di�cult economic situation. Already the Spanish fitness market is the third largest in Europe and has a penetration rate of around 14.8% with almost 3,000 commercial clubs, around 25,000 employees and estimated revenues around 3.8 billion Euros, ahead of The Netherlands, Russia and France.

As the Spanish economy returns to growth and the macro e�ort to get

the young back to work takes e�ect we predict the health market will see even stronger growth.

Digital is the FutureThe world is inexorably going digital. In Spain 60% of web browsers connect via a smartphone and

77% on a daily basis. Tablet ownership is at 23% and growing at over 15% a year. This is beginning to trigger a profound change in the publishing ecosystem and spark new trends in content creation itself.

Print based advertising in products such as magazines are becoming less e�ective as the new generation reach for their mobile phones and tablets to communicate with friends, keep up to date with their interests and make online purchases. Whilst competitor magazines grapple with hybrid paper and digital business models, COREFIT will be a digital pure play experience. In a recent survey of retail industry leaders, nearly 40 percent said the No. 1 concern they have about Millennials is their lack of loyalty. The website www.corefit.es serves as a marketing tool and content platform to preview articles from current and previous issues of COREFIT’s digital issues. Advertisers will have the ability to populate the site with content and videos to support advertising campaigns in the digital issue of COREFIT. It

will also be used to host COREFIT competitions, reader surveys and promote events and activities hosted by our many sports and fitness partners across the country.

MarketingIn our drive to establish COREFIT as the go-to-destination for all things sports and fitness related in

Spain, COREFIT will have a unique association with Spainish sports bodies across a broad range of sports. We are working with various associations and event organisers from disciplines such as triathlons, running and swimming to MMA and football in order to o�er a 12 month subscription to COREFIT for

free by using bespoke discount codes.

Each issue will provide our users with training tips and advice in their chosen field. As well as great content to retain users, we will o�er sponsorship packages to athletes to support their training. This will include prize money for new entrants to the market and encourage improvement from seasoned

athletes.

We will also commence a nationwide roadshow to universities and sports centres to promote the digital product and the 12 month free subscription discount codes.
