STUDENT DIARY 2020ADVERTISING & SPONSORSHIPSThe Student Diary is an annual publication that is free to all VU students. It is an invaluable resource containing relevant information, key dates, campus maps, events and opportunities.

The Student Diary is:

• provided free to 20,000 students

• distributed during Summer O-Fest in February and Winter O-Fest in July

• used by VU and VU Polytechnic students all year round.

Advertising space available in the diary:

• full and half page ads (including premium positions like inside back cover, outside back cover, and inside front cover).

• banners at the bottom of each calendar page (you can choose the date range in which you’d like your banner(s) to appear).

• coupons at the back of the diary (this can be packaged with a deal on our Student Deals webpage).

• size of advertisement is exact with 5mm bleed and all printer marks (no bleed marks required for coupon designs)

• all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines

• all images used are in CMYK process colour space (no RGB or spot colours)

• file is in PDF format

• all important information is at least 4mm away from the trim edge

• minimum stroke widths don’t fall below 0.25pt.

VOLLIESV4U DAY Event date: Friday 11 October 2019

V4U Day is VU’s biggest annual community volunteering day. Each year, hundreds of VU students and staff volunteer their time and efforts towards community projects in Melbourne’s West to strengthen ties and give back to the local community.

This event has an overall reach of more than 4000 people in Melbourne’s west with local press coverage and wide-spread social media exposure.

TERMS & CONDITIONSBy completing this sponsorship application, your organisation (Sponsor) agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. The Sponsor will pay the sponsorship fee within 14 days if Victoria University advises that the sponsorship application has been accepted.

2. Victoria University may decline any sponsorship application.

3. The Sponsor will comply with Victoria University’s reasonable instructions, including in relation to health, safety, site access and rubbish disposal.

4. Victoria University may make minor amendments to any artwork submitted by the Sponsor.

5. If the Sponsor requests changes to its artwork after the submission date advised by Victoria University, or cancels its sponsorship after Victoria University has accepted its sponsorship application, the Sponsor will incur a fee of 30% of the sponsorship fee, to compensate Victoria University for its costs.

6. Victoria University may decline or request amendments to any artwork submissions.

7. If the Sponsor submits artwork which doesn’t meet the technical requirements outlined in this Kit and requires amendment after submission, the Sponsor will incur a fee of 10% of the sponsorship fee to compensate Victoria University for its costs.

8. The Sponsor warrants that has obtained an agreement from any person who holds moral rights in artwork submitted to Victoria University that that person will not enforce their moral rights against Victoria University.

9. The Sponsor will indemnify Victoria University in relation to any claims from third parties which are in any way connected to the Sponsor’s sponsorship of Victoria University.

STUDENT DIARY TERMS & CONDITIONSNO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE TAKEN FOR PROBLEMS RESULTING FROM INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED FILES.

If changes or amendments are required by the printer, it is essential that replacement artwork is supplied within less than 12 hours to ensure print deadlines can be met. Any charges resulting from resubmission of artwork will be charged to the client.

Please note: we do not accept native files created in Word, Publisher, Powerpoint or equivalent. Please use a professional design program such as Adobe InDesign or Illustrator.

ALL ARTWORK MUST BE SUPPLIED AS A HIGH QUALITY CMYK PDF BY THE SPECIFIED DEADLINE TO ENSURE INCLUSION.
