The 2019 Festival marks the 15th anniversary of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. What began as a simple but far reaching impulse to develop a mid-winter, multi-disciplinary Vancouver-based performing arts festival, has evolved to become one of the most respected performing arts festivals in the world.

The PuSh Festival takes curatorial risks and provokes thoughtful conversations and earnest dialogue about what matters in our increasingly chaotic societies. What is groundbreaking? What is visionary? What is welcoming? These are some of the questions we ask and explore with each Festival.

Within Vancouver, the 20,000 PuSh Festival program guides we distribute throughout Vancouver make their way into the hands of both the die-hard fans and the casually curious. Our festival is a passport to a world of critically acclaimed work and an unprecedented opportunity to see the very best of local artists whose work has achieved national recognition.

New to PuSh’s suite of festival publications, the Industry Guide gets directly into the hands of the 300+ industry professionals, artistic directors, festival curators and programmers who travel from around the world to be a part of what PuSh brings to Vancouver each year.

We hope you will join us in making Vancouver a city that inspires, welcomes, and provokes the very best in the people who live, work, and play here.

The PuSh Festival attracts a diverse audience ranging in age from 26–60.

82% consider charity important and 38% give to environmental causes.

30% of audience members have an annual income of $70,000-$120,000.

80% are university-educated and over 40% hold a graduate degree.

63% are politically active, and union workers make up 26% of the audience.

41% have dinner or drinks near a PuSh venue before a show and 51% eat out 2-4 times a week.

22% go out for drinks 2–4 times a week.

2018's Industry Series welcomed 175+ arts professionals from

14 countries

PuSh INDUSTRY GUIDEIn the 15 years since its founding, the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival has become known as a broker of international partnerships, a meeting place for creative minds, an incubator of brilliant new work, and a showcase of some of Canada’s best performance artists. If you are an artist or an artistic producing company, The PuSh Festival Industry Series creates an excellent opportunity to promote your upcoming work during this world-renowned festival.

INDUSTRY AUDIENCEThis program targets industry professionals including producers, artistic directors, festival curators, presenters, and programmers. The Assembly Guide is an excellent opportunity to promote artist training and residency programs, skill-based/technical courses, workshops, production expertise, venue and equipment rentals, and so forth.

DISTRIBUTIONPuSh Assembly events run during the PuSh Festival and are promoted separately from the main performance events via the PuSh Industry program guide. The Industry guide is distributed in January by direct mail to the 300+ industry professional delegates who are attending and/or performing in PuSh. It's also circulated openly during the Festival and Assembly events
