to rural and disadvantaged communities on board an environmentally

conscious high-tech bus.

Overview

/ The Media Bus will provide creative freedom to produce new digital

work from video to animation. With full technical support, access to

experienced media youth workers, visual artists and award-winning

certified training crew, people of all ages can learn new transferable

skills and experience the creative power of the latest technology to

start their own digital journey.

Young Adults/ The Media Bus can inspire formal or informal learning for young adults

including 16–25 year olds not in employment, education or training

(NEET). The Media Bus opens up access to learning by using digital media

and broadcast technology to engage and stimulate the participant’s

learning.

/ With a wide range of IT software and HD technology, The Media Bus can

improve ITC skills by using media to encourage learning and improve

vocational skills. The Media Bus has virtually limitless possibilities and

can offer a wide range of off-the-shelf courses or specialised courses

targeting specific groups.

/ Media is for everyone and we want to encourage young people to get

involved with, learn about, and use media to enhance their educational

experience. For schools and youth groups, The Media Bus offers projects

covering a range of academic skills, addressing a variety of Key Stage

3 and 4 National Curriculum subjects, including History, Science and

English.

/ The Media Bus is an accessible tool which will inspire students who are

familiar with media to use this enthusiasm to aid their education and

creative expression. The Media Bus will bring a fresh approach to social

cohesion providing informal learning opportunities to address personal

and social development of individuals and groups.

/ For media and film industry professionals The Media Bus offers training

on a range of digital technology including one-day, weekend and

week-long courses, seminars and workshops to ensure that participants

gain the latest technical skills to help develop their careers and push

their own creative boundaries.

/ The Media Bus can offer technical training on Final Cut Pro editing,

Adobe Photoshop, High Definition cameras and Pro Tools post-

production sound design. The Media Bus is also available as a dry

hire unit with technical support and can be used as an OB vehicle,

production office or training facility.

Business/ The Media Bus can travel to any business to run focused training to

meet a company’s needs, helping to improve internal communication

and dynamics by using media as a team building as well as training

exercise.
