Which media institution would distribute your product and why? Bauer Media would be an excellent institution that already distributes Q and Kerrang! Which would make it excellent to distribute my product as it is the same genre of music magazines as I have made mine. Because of these magazines this institution has a great re putation for music magazines, which I want for my own magazine and by having this institution publish my work would give my magazine a good reputation. Because they are a worldwide company it would mean my magazine could get more profit because of the amount distributed around the world. This would gain my reputation around the world making sure I build a demand on my magazine and gain more profit from different countries. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product? I have used Photoshop for my draft pieces so I had to learn how to use it so that I am able to make my product the best that I can do for my final pieces. To do this I started by making a 2d model of how it would be set out this helped me because I was able to use the smaller tools to create my 2d model which helped when coming to do my draft work. This worked well by starting with this because I also had a guide to go with. I then used draft work skills that I had gained by starting it by then using InDesign to transfer my Photoshop skills to it because it was the same thing just better for a magazine. I then used these skills to move around some of the pictures and text that didn’t go as well in that particular place. This made it better because I was able to check what it looks like without messing the whole thing up because I was able to move it without it being permanent. Whereas if I did it on paper I would have to start again. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? I have used my camera skills from the preliminary task and transferred them to my model photos by using different camera angles and shots for the pictures used in my magazine. I also developed them by using lighting to cancel out shadows and make sure the model was captured well. This was easier to do since using the camera in the preliminary task because I had already got a couple of skills to apply to the new task for my magazine. I used editing skills for this from the preliminary task although I was using finalcutpro but I also edited my work for my magazine in Photoshop which is still an editing app. I have learnt how to use both editing apps for different reasons which help me when I am working with both because I was able to adapt my findings in the work I did in the prelim task to my editing skills in the print brief.

Which media institution would distribute your product and why?

Bauer Media would be an excellent institution that already distributes Q and Kerrang! Which would make it excellent to distribute my product as it is the same genre of music magazines as I have made mine. Because of these magazines this institution has a great reputation for music magazines, which I want for my own magazine and by having this institution publish my work would give my magazine a good reputation.
