ABOUT THE WORKSHOP The workshop is aimed at bringing together the scientific and technical community to share their knowledge in field of composite materials and alternative fuels. Eminent professors will share their knowledge with the participants, which in turn are expected to promote research activities in composite materials and alternative fuels. It is decided to give the audience the best and make them to initiate research activities in their Parent institution. It is aimed to provide the participants a complete knowledge in the areas to be covered in the workshop and make them instrumental in pursuing quality research. This is expected to attract more number of researchers towards the scientific side and extending their findings towards the technical side. ELIGIBILITY The Faculty, Research scholars, UG & PG students of Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering & allied specializations; and also practicing Engineers are eligible to attend. The participants will be provided with workshop kit and working lunch. No TA/DA will be given. TOPICS TO BE COVERED 1. Overview of composite materials 2. Applications of Composite in modern industries. 3. Fabrication of composite materials. 4. Overview of alternative fuel. 5. Recent applications of alternative fuels. REGISTRATION DETAILS UG/PG Students = Rs. 200/- Faculty from Academic Institutions: Rs. 300/- Members from Industry: Rs. 500/- IMPORTANT DATES Last date for Registration: 03.04.2014 Registration fees will be paid on the spot. ACCOMMODATION The participants have to make their own arrangements for accommodation. However, free hostel accommodation will be provided for both boys and girl students, for others it can be arranged on request on chargeable basis. We cordately invite you to join the workshop to feel and experience the shear pride of being a talented engineer. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT Mechanical and automation engineers are mainly

focusing on designing and manufacturing of machines, Engineers design, assemble engines, power plants,

structures, vehicles of all sizes and deals with use of all types of machines, control systems and

information technologies. The future of mechanical and automation engineering certainly offers a variety

of opportunities for professionals entering the field.

Students will be studying the principles of mechanics, materials and energy to design as well as manufacture

machines and devices of all kinds.

The program’s objective is to incubate professionals equipped with integrative knowledge of mechanical

and computer aided manufacturing, mechatronics and automatic controls. The fields of mechanical,

electrical, electronic, automatic and information

technology are covered in the undergraduate program offered by this Institute. Moreover, in accordance with

the needs of professionals in Engineering Technology in India, the curriculum focuses on remote control,

integrity, mechatronics and technology management.

The Department of mechanical and automation engineering in PSN Institute of Technology and

science is equipped with modern lab facilities. The

department has experienced faculty with publications in National and International journals.
