Purpose: The tool validates XML documents created by Electronic Health Records (EHR) technology against the structure defined by the Implementation Guide for Ambulatory Healthcare Provider Reporting to Central Cancer Registry and all included and referenced standards/specifications/guidelines. The tool is intended for certifying 2014 Edition Meaningful Use EHR technology.

Online Testing • Provides a simple and convenient method for testing XML structure and content• Same interface as the HITSP/C32 validation in Meaningful Use Stage 1

Offline Testing / Downloadable

• Downloadable package contains:• Complete schema and schematron for validating Cancer Registry Report XML (and

referenced specifications) for use in:• Schema / schematron aware XML editor• Import into custom application

• Simple command-line Java application for offline testing, includes: • Demonstration of how to use Schema / Schematron in a Java application• Source code
