September 1, 2011 Dear Meadowlands residents, It is my privilege to become part of the Assisted Living at the Meadowlands community as your executive director. I am anxious to get to know each of you individually and your overall care needs, as well as the care partners who directly serve you. Let me begin by telling you about my background. Born and raised in University City, I come from a large Catholic family with lots of nieces and nephews, whom I spoil and send back to their parents often. I love animals and have two very large dogs – a Husky Chow and an Alaskan Malamute that’s twice the size of Simon. I am committed to nourishing the person-centered care at the Meadowlands and want you to know you are in good hands. With more than 20 years in long term care, I have worked my way up from a recreation therapist at Mary Queen and Mother Center, a skilled care facility in Shrewsbury, to obtaining my masters in Gerontology and nursing home administration license for skilled care facilities and continuing care retirement communities. I have also completed a specialized administrator’s training program that gave me insight into all aspects of operations, from maintenance to foodservice, as well as housekeeping, nursing and the business office. My most recent journey in senior care was moving the retired sisters of the Franciscan Sisters of Mary from St. Mary of the Angels Convent to a St. Andrew’s managed community.

Dear Meadowlands residents,

It is my privilege to become part of the Assisted Living at the Meadowlands community as your executive director.

I am delighted to join Meadowlands and St. Andrew’s as we begin our new partnership. My office is always open, but you will also find me on the floor, where my true passion and love is, talking with you and care partners.

I am here to listen, and to empower you to live a fulfilling and quality life while you’re here at Meadowlands, creating a community and place you can call home.

Sincerely Yours,

Marillyn Schaus Webb, M.A., N.H.A.Executive Director
