AARP Safe Driving Course
The AARP Smart Driver Course is
being offered at the Meadow Pointe (One) Community Center on August 18th 2014. This is a 6 hour course specially designed for drivers 50 years of age and older but is open to everyone. Most insurance companies offer discounts for completion of the course, which is good for three years. Check with your insurance agent for discounts available to you. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Please contact Dennis Smith @ 813-994-9832 to register. Seats are limited, so register early.
Fall Garage SaleTime to start thinking about the Meadow Pointe Community Garage Sale on Saturday, October 11th from 8am – 2pm. All eleven (11) villages are invited to participate, and there is no charge. Get Ready!

Volunteers Needed For MPCCThe Meadow Pointe Community Council is seeking interested residents to participate on the council. The Pinedale and Springs Villages currently have open positions, and
the other villages need backup persons to attend the monthly meetings and assist with sponsored events. For more information, contact Dennis at [email protected] volunteers do wonderful services for our residents, and they are truly appreciated.
Public Hearing Scheduled to Finalize the 2015 BudgetThe public hearing to adopt the FY 2015 budget will be conducted during the CDD meeting to be held on August 7, 2014 at 6:30 PM in the clubhouse, and residents are welcome. The approved draft budget for FY 2015 (October 2014 – September 2015) will keep assessments the same as last year. The draft budget can be found on our website www.meadowpointecdd.com.
New Homeowners If you have recently purchased a home in Meadow Pointe, the Meadow Pointe Community Council has a Welcome Bag for you. It contains coupons and small gifts from several of our area businesses. To receive your welcome bag, bring proof of your new address to the Meadow Pointe 1 Office. The Welcome Bag will be delivered by one of our Village Representatives. For more information, contact Dennis Costa at [email protected]. Note: While in the Meadow Pointe office, you can request a copy of your Meadow Pointe Deed Restrictions if you did not receive a copy at your closing.

Mow Behind Fences On Conservation LotsResidents living on conservation lots are reminded to mow or clear the area behind their fences (3-4 feet) to prevent encroachment of conservation vegetation. South West Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) permits this.Reminder: Residents living on pond lots must mow to the water’s edge.
No Use Of Conservation/Wetlands (Woods) In Meadow PointeA reminder to all residents, SWFWMD (Southwest Florida Water Management District) will place fines on the District if there is any disturbance to conservation/wetlands. This includes walking through, playing,
clearing, planting, building forts or structures, etc. Parents, please inform your children about this issue.
Please Do Not Feed The Florida Wildlife!All the deer, ducks, large birds, alligators, bears, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons and other critters should be left to find food on their own (without human help).
