Medical Expression is a continuing education company providing customised English-language training for medical consultants and biomedical researchers in

Spain. Our courses, seminars and workshops, given entirely in English, provide clear guidance and plenty of hands-on practice in the essential language skills required for a range of common clinical and professional settings, from international scientific meetings to manuscript

submissions to journals.

Medical Expression has brought together a group of experienced trainers who, through their work in a series of language-based professions, have a thorough understanding of medical terminology, clinical practices

and medical publishing procedures, including:

It is precisely our trainers’ varied professional backgrounds and long-standing expertise that bring an original and highly practical approach to effective English learning in any area of biomedical specialisation. In all our programmes, a strong emphasis is placed on systematic practice in key language skills, while our dynamic, interactive teaching methods focus participants’ attention on context and real-life medical

usage, as well as on the goals and purpose intended for any given communication setting.

Medical Expression has been running training events for healthcare professionals since 2004. To date, we have devised specific oral communication and writing programmes for hospitals and medical societies as well as coaching for individual physicians with speaking commitments at international meetings.

Ourexperience

SEMINARS (8 HOURS)

Medical Expression Seminars form the basis of our intensive language-centred training, and address a particular topic or area of oral or written communication, such as fluency skills, drafting presentations for scientific meetings or writing assignments.

WORKSHOPS (12 HOURS / 2 DAYS)

These can be stand-alone training events or linked to a longer programme.Speakers’ Workshops provide an interactive, motivating and safe environment for extensive practice on oral presentations for medical meetings of all kinds through fluency training, role-play and simulation, while our Authors’ Workshops enable participants to experiment with their own medical writing assignments in a supportive professional setting.

COURSES (12 WEEKS)

Each Medical Expression course combines face-to-face tuition, self-study and internet-based resources compatible with busy physicians’ work commitments.

Minimum English Language requirementsAll Medical Expression training events are intended for at least an Intermediate level of English Language proficiency. No elementary or general English teaching is provided.

Following detailed discussion of your requirements and aims for any training event, the Medical Expression development team will customise all learning content to your specific area of medical interest and current level of English-language proficiency.
