Comedy?

The reason why I like comedy films is because they make you laugh

Within the genre of comedy you have sub-genres as well such as:

Horror comedy

Action comedy

Spoofs

Sitcoms

Physical comedy

Genre

The genre I have chosen to look at is a action comedy.

This is one of my favourite genre out of all the comedy sub genres.

All of my favourite films are in this genre such as 21 jump street, Lego movie, Team America: world police.

active spectatorship

Active spectators do not just consume what they are told to watch by marketing that is aimed at them but instead choose different films to watch for different reasons

Fandom

This means the group of fans who have the same interest for example sports, films, series of books or a celebrity. For films they usually setup a forums, follow their celebrities to keep up with what they up to.

The state or condition of being a fan of someone or something

There are many fans in the action comedy genre

Some of them even made vines on their favourite movies

Preferred Reading

A preferred reading is not necessarily the result of any conscious intention on the part of the producer of a text.

For example the ‘male gaze’ theory of how women represented in film and how a heterosexually male see women in film because of the way the directors uses camera angles.

This when the audience interpret the film or novel in their own view. This usually happens when they leave it on a cliff hanger, they try to find out what would of happened next.

the relationship between texts, especially literary ones.

In spoof is this is the main focus for the film by making references to other films in a comedic way like the film ‘not another teen film’

media literacy

Media literacy is the ability to access, analyse, evaluate, and create media

the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to one's own

pre- and post-viewing experiences

pre- and post-viewing is the experience before and after the film.

All the pre-viewing experiences are like trailer, movie poster, tweets, Facebook statuses

Post-viewing is the is tweet about the film, facebook stautus, and talking to your friends about the film.
