Custom made height-adjustable pre-clean sinks

These sinks are height adjustable, and are designed keeping health and safety in mind. They help minimise the risk of strain and pain to the wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck and back, that could be caused during pre-cleaning due to improper sink height.

Pre-cleaning is an essential part of an equipment decontamination process, but finding the space to setup a pre-clean station is often an issue, and remodelling a room to fit the station can be expensive. BES Decon has a solution in the form of Manual Decontamination Stations (MDS) by Neocare, which are custom made to suit the space available.

Flexible water pipes within the pre-clean sinks reduce the risk of legionella contamination.

The pre-clean sinks are custom fabricated in the UK from 2mm stainless steel, and are also available in a superior 304 or 316 Grade stainless steel with fittings that are of industrial quality.

4To prevent contaminated water or detritus from being accidentally splashed, the sinks have a 300mm high, rear and side splash panels. This makes clean up of the immediate area simple, and reduces the risk of secondary contamination.

For pre-clean sinks, it is important to get 3 parameters right, distance of vertical travel, depth of the bowl, and position of the bowl. Our Manual Decontamination Sinks adhere to these parameters.

4 These manual pre-clean sinks are free standing units, and can be moved easily for cleaning the area under the sinks.

4 They also feature a lower storage shelf as standard.

4 Height adjustable sinks are useful for short and tall staff members involved in the pre-clean process. Height can be increased to 350mm, which means staff from 4 ft 10” to 6 ft 5” can use these sinks comfortably. A foot switch helps effortless height adjustment.

4 The sinks have 3 actuators for height adjustment which require no maintenance.

4 The 40mm waste plumbing pipe is supported by a stainless steel bar and saddle clamps, limiting the possibility of the outlet being disconnected due to vertical height adjustment.

4 Sinks have sealed waste outlets to prevent contaminated waste water droplets or vapour from entering the decontamination suite.

Depending on your specifications and needs, these sinks can be fabricated with PVC or Polypropylene, instead of the standard stainless steel.

To protect a clean room from contamination, materials should have the following characteristics:

4 surfaces and moving parts that shed or generate as little contamination as possible;

4 unbroken, impervious and clean surfaces, although there are necessary exceptions, such as clean room wipers;

4 properties that minimise generation of contamination by shedding and cutting;

4 suitable clean room packaging;

4 compatibility with the clean room environment.
