BAYES AHMED I came to know that Mr Bayes Ahmed has been selected for the Commonwealth Scholarship 2013 by the University Grants Commission in Bangladesh. It is now my great pleasure to recommend Mr Ahmed for an admission into a PhD programme in his desired university in the UK along with the scholarship. We have been working together in several research projects over the last two years. This work has provided me enough opportunity to closely monitor his academic and research credentials. Mr Ahmed has been tasked with research data collection, analysis and visualisation of geodata using different GIS and RS platforms, review of the literature on selected topics, and the preparation draft manuscripts for publication. Mr Ahmed has successfully performed his duties with little guidance. My observation is that he is an independent researcher and able to spend more time to maintain deadlines. His successful completion of a research based MSc degree in Geospatial Technologies (funded by the European Commission), and a bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning have contributed successfully to achieve these qualities. To me, all these qualities are essential for the successful completion of a PhD. Mr Ahmed has the ability to learn new things quickly. He is energetic and passionate about his research. He can work tirelessly and it is my belief that these qualities would make him an outstanding researcher for your programme. He has my highest endorsement. If you have any questions about this recommendation or my endorsement of Ahmed, please feel free to contact me at any point. Sincerely Yours, Md. REFERENCE LETTER FOR MR. BAYES AHMED

I came to know that Mr Bayes Ahmed has been selected for the Commonwealth

Scholarship 2013 by the University Grants Commission in Bangladesh. It is now my

great pleasure to recommend Mr Ahmed for an admission into a PhD programme in his

desired university in the UK along with the scholarship.

We have been working together in several research projects over the last two years. This

work has provided me enough opportunity to closely monitor his academic and research

credentials. Mr Ahmed has been tasked with research data collection, analysis and

visualisation of geodata using different GIS and RS platforms, review of the literature

on selected topics, and the preparation draft manuscripts for publication. Mr Ahmed has

successfully performed his duties with little guidance. My observation is that he is an

independent researcher and able to spend more time to maintain deadlines. His

successful completion of a research based MSc degree in Geospatial Technologies

(funded by the European Commission), and a bachelor degree in Urban and Regional

Planning have contributed successfully to achieve these qualities. To me, all these

qualities are essential for the successful completion of a PhD.

Mr Ahmed has the ability to learn new things quickly. He is energetic and passionate

about his research. He can work tirelessly and it is my belief that these qualities would

make him an outstanding researcher for your programme. He has my highest

endorsement. If you have any questions about this recommendation or my endorsement

of Ahmed, please feel free to contact me at any point.

Sincerely Yours,
