McMurphy Farms 2012 Show Heifer Offering

When there is much risk involved with every capital purchase there is also great rewards and we are confi dent you will be happy that you bought from McMurphy Farms. Once again it has been a struggling year in Okla-homa with the continued drought. Inputs are still at all time highs due to the drought across the country and now is the time to really look into your own herds and cull accordingly and buy back females that will improve your breeding program. We have a select group of heifers that we are offering at this time that will add to or improve your breeding program. There are potential show prospects and most importantly we feel that these females will improve your breeding programs when put into produc-tion. Most of these females are out of sires from our own bull battery, with the majority being out of our top herd sire New Logic. If you are not only interested in show prospects, but also cow power, this is the place to pull the trigger.

Along with the select group of individual heifers we are offering today please keep an eye on our future private treaty sales. We will be offering several bred heifers for spring calving that are home raised and some that are derived from our bull customers. We will also be offering replacement type females in the near future, both commercial and registered.

Again in the spring of the year, our bulls will be available and we have a very solid set of bulls to be offered this coming year from low birth weight to high growth bulls. Please contact us if you are interested in semen on a bull in our battery.

New Logic is an OSF bull out of an ET brother to the 2002 Reserve National Champion bull WCC New Design and a genetically powerful King John cow.He stamps his progeny with big, square hips and good feet and legs, but needs to be bred to cows with plenty of depth of rib. It is hard to find Red Angus with these features and combine it with phenom-enal production traits. His calves will perform with any other sire as he ranks in the top 1% for weaning and the top 2% for yearling.
