Everest Tip by TigerEach Everest laminated cue tip is individually tested for consistency, hardness and quality. It shapes like a hard tip, hits like a medium, but has the control of a soft tip. Everest tips have 10-layers that include a red warning layer to indicate when it needs replacement.

G-Core ConstructionThe G-Core shaft technology significantly stabilizes the shaft with a triple-layer carbon fiber core at the front impact area of the shaft. High-Performance Shaft ComparisonMcDermott’s i-Shaft and G-Core each have their own unique core construction to implement the triple-layer carbon fiber technology. The diagrams below show the carbon fiber placement in the i-Shaft and G-Core.

The G-Core’s carbon fiber starts at the tip and extends through the first 7 inches of the shaft. This gives it the accuracy and power benefits of a high-performance shaft, but with the familiar feel of a traditional all-maple shaft.

The i-Shaft’s carbon fiber starts at the ferrule and continues through the entire shaft, making it the most radial consistent shaft on the market. This minimizes the inconsistencies experienced with an all-maple shaft. The i-Shaft also uses McDermott’s Tenon Tip Technology in which the ferrule has a tenon that fits inside of the carbon fiber core.

i-1 Big Boy Shaft - iB $249 The i-1 Big Boy is the most powerful shaft in the Intimidator series. It uses a 13.25mm impregnated hard leather tip that allows it to hold contact with the cue ball longer. This makes the i-1 Big Boy ideal for breaking and jumping with extreme control.

The Wood McDermott hand selects only the finest woods from around the globe. The wood is aged for 18 to 24 months by alternately storing and machining

each piece three times. This allows the perfect amount of moisture to escape, ensuring absolute straightness.

The Joint McDermott’s signature 3/8”-10 wood-to-wood and patented Quick Release (QR) joints provide consistent surface contact throughout the cue, delivering

maximum feel and the most solid hit in the industry.

The Finish McDermott cues are hand-stained with our exclusive imported European “Organic-Pigment” stain made from the

finest pigments in the world. Superior to the synthetic stains generally used in the industry, it’s notable for uniform saturation of the wood and color consistency. Five coats of high-luster urethane protect the cue and enhance the color.

The Wrap GENUINE IRISH LINEN

Our genuine imported Irish linen wrap is tightly wound, double-pressed and polished for a perfect fit and smooth

feel. The Irish linen absorbs hand moisture to ensure a comfortable grip.

Tri-Core Butt Construction Our cue construction process includes over 150 separate procedures. HandleThe Tri-Core butt is constructed using three separate pieces of wood that are hand-glued and screwed to promote straightness over the life of the cue. The tenon 2 and pin 3 technology provides optimal balance for the butt of the cue. A double-pressed and sealed Irish linen or premium leather wrap 5 is applied over the underwrap 4 to provide incredible comfort and moisture control.

SleeveThe sleeve 7 slides over the underwrap tenon 6 to complete the Tri-Core butt construction. It is glued and secured by the butt plate and interchangeable weight bolt system 8 before being adorned with intricate inlays and rings to compliment the design of the throat. All McDermott cues are capped with a clover-embossed rubber bumper 10 to protect the butt plate 9 .

ThroatThe throat 1 is adorned with intricate inlays and rings using the finest materials and exotic woods from around the world. All of McDermott’s inlays and rings are precision milled to within .001”. Each McDermott cue is customizable with over 30 premium paint and stain choices. The cues are then finished with an ultraviolet electrostatic 5-coat urethane finish.

Anthony “Two Feather” Squadroni has been designing pool cues for 20 years. Many of his award winning cue designs have been featured in publications and shows internationally. Two Feather’s work is inspired by his native American heritage and his love for the game of billiards. McDermott is proud to have worked with Two Feather on McDermott’s three shaft inlay cues featured on pages 15-17. Patented Tip/Ferrule TechnologyThe tip features a “stinger” stem that projects downward through a hole in the center of the ferrule. On impact, the shock of the hit goes to the center of the tip and down the stinger stem, transmitting the impact directly to the center of the shaft. This results in a very efficient, precise hit.

The Enormous “Sweet Spot” The Stinger technology takes the hit energy to the center of the shaft, regardless of where you hit the tip. Our tip can be shaped flatter than a typical break cue’s tip. The flatter profile causes the Stinger tip to have a huge “sweet spot.” You can mishit and still get the result you intended.

McDermott Lifetime WarrantyMcDermott’s Lifetime Warranty applies only to the original purchaser/owner of the cue and must be purchased from an authorized McDermott dealer. McDermott Cue warrants its pool cues to be free of defects in material and workmanship, including warpage, for as long as the product is owned by the original purchaser/owner. McDermott does not warrant its product against: • normal wear and tear including tip, finish, and wrap; • misuse, abuse or mishandling; • modification or improper maintenance performed by third parties or • damage caused by exposure to extreme temperature or humidity.

All warranty claims must include the complete cue and are subject to evaluation at our facility prior to approval. Products that do not qualify for the McDermott Lifetime Warranty can be serviced by McDermott for a fee. To obtain warranty service on a McDermott product, return the product to an authorized McDermott dealer or directly to McDermott along with a copy of your original sales receipt.
