Analysis of a typical learner
• Enter search for desired course • Check - does it fit my personal requirements?• How has it been rated• Is it likely to provide me with the knowledge I seek?• How much will it cost?• Can I preview the learning outcomes?• Can I learn at my own pace?• Will I receive any recognised qualifications?• What can I do once I have completed the course? • Will I enjoy the process?
Observations
• Many online courses are free to access.
• Most offerings are based on YouTube videos.
• There is little or no attention paid to assessment.
• Searching does not provide easily digestible list of online courses.
• Few references to career opportunities (MC excellent here).
• No integration with Presentation.
