Study organizational effectiveness, productivity, & efficiency, including the nature of workplace supervision & leadership by conducting research studies of physical work environments, organizational structures, communication systems, group interactions, morale, & motivation to assess organizational functioning. Observe & interview workers to obtain information about the physical, mental, & educational requirements of jobs as well as information about aspects such as job satisfaction, job requirements, & job content to establish criteria for classification, selection, training, & other related personnel functions. Interview personnel & conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, & methods, equipment, & personnel used while concur- rently collecting information on apparent problems or procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated produc- tion methods, inventory control, or cost analysis. Review forms & reports & confer with management & users about format, distribution, & purpose, & to identify problems & improvements culminating with the development & implementation of a records management programs for filing, protection, & retrieval of records. Develop & implement employee selection & placement programs participating when needed in mediation & dispute resolution while simultaneously identifying training & development needs. Prepare manuals & train workers in use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, according to organizational policy. Principle Responsibilities & Contributions
