Anticipating Changes and Stay

Relevant

•Our leaders are very forward-looking.

•The MBS was developed to increase the employment rates and attract tourists.

•It also attracted many foreign investments from global brands like Gucci and Chanel to open shops in MBS The Shoppes.

•This will boost Singapore’s economy

Anticipating Changes and Stay Relevant

•Our leaders have also known that social problems such as gambling addiction may increase if casinos were opened in Singapore.

•They try to prevent this problem by requiring all Singapore Citizens to pay $100 to enter the casino.

•This would discourage Singaporeans to gamble and less people would become gamble addicts.

Anticipating Changes and Stay Relevant

•Singapore has limited natural resources

•The Breeze Shelter in Marina Bay Sands is powered by solar energy.

•It will only function when a person is detected under the shelter.

•Therefore, no fuel is needed and it will save a lot of energy.

Anticipating changes and Stay Relevant

•Singapore also has limited land.

•The government had to plan the use of our land carefully to ensure that there are spaces for both buildings and recreational activities

•Underground shops were also built to maximisethe spaces underground.

A Stake for Everyone, Opportunities for all

•The government are open to feedbacks from the public in the construction of MBS.

•This is to improve the MBS and understand the concerns of the people.

•This can also minimise the problems we might face after the building of MBS.
