ABOUT IIM CALCUTTAThe Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) was established as the first national institute for post-graduate studies and Research in Management by the Government of India in November 1961 in collaboration with Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and the Indian industry. During its initial years, several prominent faculties formed part of its nucleus, including Jagdish Sheth, J. K. Sengupta, among others.

Over the years, IIMC has grown into a matured institution with global reputation, imparting high quality management education. It has been playing a pioneering role in professionalizing Indian management through its Postgraduate and Doctoral level programs, Executive Education Programs (MDPs), Research and Consulting Activities. Today, the institute serves as an autonomous body, continually evolving to meet its goals in an ever-changing business environment.

MBAEx - ONE YEAR RESIDENTIAL MBA PROGRAMMBA for Executives (MBAEx) Programme is IIM Calcutta’s One Year Full-Time Residential Programme meant for Executives with more than five years of professional experience. It provides mid-career professionals an ideal platform to augment their existing skill sets as they endeavor to armour themselves for senior and top management roles in the industry.

MBAEx programme, since its inception in 2006, has spawned alumni who have demonstrated excellence in the leadership positions that they have occupied in their organizations. The Class of 2022 comprises an eclectic mix of youth and experience. Under the able guidance of the country’s leading management faculty, a passion for continuous learning synergizes with experiences from diverse backgrounds to create an enriching learning environment.

Learning beyond the classroom is an equally important facet. While case discussions enrich the practical experience of unravelling real life business puzzles, informal discussions on varied topics from thoughtfully chosen adjunct readings broaden individual perspectives. The immersion programme helps future business leaders hone their skills while tackling real world challenges. Individuals also make time to participate in business case competitions, branding exercises and self-interest career advancement clubs.
