    Guidelines and Templates for PROJET !OR"

    1. Project work period shall be from 1stJune to 31stJuly of the year. Duration of the study will be 8

    weeks. It carries 2 marks as per the !ni"ersity norms.

    2. #tudents may identify company for the project work and make arran$ements on their own% to

    conduct and complete the study. &he or$ani'ation should be one% preferably from outside the state

    and the period for the project work should be ( days. Projects may be done outside India as well%

    if the student desires% with the permission of the course coordinator.3. )o student is allowed to chan$e the or$ani'ation of trainin$ assi$ned to him * her once assi$ned

    by the office.

    +. ,bjecti"es of the trainin$ are-

    &o pro"ide an etensi"e eposure to the student and hands/on eperience in a 0orporate

    en"ironment

    &o ensure that the corporate $ets adeuate return from the student in terms of the money and

    time they spent on them durin$ the trainin$ so that there is a mutual echan$e of eperience

    and learnin$

    &o pro"ide a platform for the corporate to test the reliability% uality and performance of the

    student and make a match for final job offer later% if they deem fit.

    . Projects are to be done on indi"idual basis only.

    (. #tudents are reuired to do a project work of a problem centered nature and the dissertation is to

    be submitted before the commencement of ourth semester eamination.

    4. Project work should be done in a nationally or internationally reputed or$ani'ation.

    8. Project study should be in the 56J,7 functional area% chosen by the student.

    . Project work should be done strictly under the super"ision of an eecuti"e allotted by the

    or$ani'ation% who will act as corporate $uide. 6lso there will be an internal faculty $uide from

    D0#56& and the student should send weekly pro$ress report to the faculty $uide.

    1. &he student will be reuired to abide by the rules of the or$ani'ation where he * she is under$oin$

    trainin$.

    11. &he corporate or$ani'ation will be takin$ a stron$ "iew of the punctuality and beha"iour of the

    student durin$ the trainin$ and therefore the student will be reuired to be on their best beha"iour

    and inculcate the $ood norms of the or$ani'ation where they take the trainin$.

    12. In case the student has to take lea"e of absence% he * she will ha"e to take permission from the

    or$ani'ation and the faculty $uide before they proceed on lea"e.

    13. In case the student has to take up project/based work at the instance of the company% they should

    conduct it to their best of their capability. &he faculty $uide will be always a"ailable for ad"ice

    and $uidance.

    1+. )o student should try to copy or use information in such a way that will project false and baseless

    conclusions for the company. 6ll students are reuired to maintain strict confidentiality re$ardin$

    any information they come across in the or$ani'ation in the course of their trainin$. In case of

    malpractice% the student shall be duly penali'ed.

    1. ,nce the company is identified% students must communicate to the faculty $uide throu$h the

    5oodle pa$e news forum link% created for the indi"idual student for the purpose. &his must be

    tar$eted to be done% before the students lea"e the campus for their study.

    1(. #tudents are to prepare three possible project topics in consultation with the $uide. &his may be

    preferably done% e"en before they join the or$ani'ation% by discussin$ the project ideas in ad"ance

    with the company identified% if feasible.

    14. ,ne topic to be finali'ed by the student after discussin$ with the company officials concerned.

    18. #tudents must con"ey the contact details 90ompany name and address% name of the person% e/mail%

    mobile% company phone: of the company $uide to the faculty $uide% who is identified to pro"ide

    them $uidance in their work in the or$ani'ation% as soon as they report to the company for the

    work throu$h e/mail or phone. &hese details are to be pro"ided in the first report to be uploaded in

    the 5oodle% as well.

    1. ,nce these details are pro"ided% faculty $uide must contact the company $uide and establish

    communication periodically to ensure that the student is pro$ressin$ on the work assi$ned to him *

    her.

    2. ;eekly pro$ress report is to be submitted to $uide throu$h 5oodle. ;eekly report should state

    clearly with the headin$s- 9a: &asks and acti"ities done 9b: &asks pendin$ to be done 9c: Pro$ress

    bein$ made 9d: 6ny other information

    21. 6 certificate of attendance and company certificate should be obtained from the or$ani'ation%

    before returnin$ to the colle$e campus% as a proof of the successful completion of the trainin$ and

    the same should be incorporated in the project report.

    22. #tudent should submit an e"aluation report 9confidential as shown in 6ppendi 1: from the

    or$ani'ation alon$ with the relie"in$ certificate at the completion of the study.23. 6fter completion% students to discuss the draft with the $uide% incorporate the corrections and

    prepare the final report
