The MBA Primer is designed to teach the basics to students enrolled to enter an MBA program (traditional, executive, and part-time) or those wishing to prepare themselves for an MBA curriculum. It is ideal for the user who has little or no educational background in the quantitative areas of business and needs this kind of preparation for the rigors of an MBA program. The course is also well-suited to those who have this educational background, but wish to review before beginning MBA classes. This sequence of courses was not designed to substitute for traditional full MBA courses; rather it is meant to be a precursor, or preparatory sequence of courses, for students entering an MBA program or considering such a step. Completing the courses will provide a comfort level for when you actually begin the MBA program and better prepare you for success.

First Time Login

To get started, navigate to: login.cengagebrain.com. If this is your first time using a Cengage Learning Product, you will need to create a new account.

Create Profile

Now you will need to enter the MBA Primer access code which either came with your text or which you purchased online.

Complete the Account Information form, read and accept the license agreement, and then click Continue.

Select Your Institution

You will now need to select your institution.

First select your location, then your institution type. Locate your school through one of the available search options.

Once you locate your institution, you will be directed to your dashboard.

To access the MBA Primer product which you just registered, press and enter the Course Code provided by your instructor.

Returning Users

If you are a returning user please log in to your CengageBrain account to activate your product. If you have forgotten your password please select the “Forgot Password” link to retrieve your password.

Walkthrough

Using MBA Primer

If you are in the Comprehensive MBA Primer then choose the section you want to use for your course. If you are in an individual MBA Primer Module then follow the on screen prompts and your course has begun.

From the main screen you can explore the various assets of MBA Primer.

Access your grade book at the left side of the screen.

MBA Primer has a note-taking feature which you can use as you move through the modules, and an in-line

glossary feature.

Learning Links

Learning Links are multimedia exercises of many different types which provide interactive, hands-on application to enhance understanding.

Assessment At the end of the lesson is a quiz which will help you to review and remember the lesson’s key points.

When you have finished the quiz, you can see your results and review incorrect answers.

Each course ends with a brief summary of key points (Summing Up) and a cumulative Post-Test.
