ABOUT ADU’S MBA PROGRAMPROGRAM MISSION

The mission of the MBA program is to produce graduates who will be prepared to advance into top managerial positions in marketing, finance, accounting, human resources and other departments in both the private and public sectors. The program offers the best combination of small, intimate learning environment and cutting-edge classes taught by an internationally respected faculty.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

• To prepare students for successful and productive careers as business professionals in industry and government

• To prepare students to have the knowledge and skills to adapt to a dynamic multidisciplinary business environment

• To improve leadership, interpersonal communication, critical thinking and team-building skills

Learning Outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

• Design business strategies and determine the appropriate implementation methodologies that would improve overall organization results.

• Analyze organizational issues from an international perspective of today’s global marketplace.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The admission requirements for the MBA program include the following:

• Candidates must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, preferably achieving a 3.0/4.0 or higher overall grade point average.

• Candidates must prove their language proficiency through achieving one of the following scores:

• Institutional TOEFL 550 (held at ADU only)

• iBT TOEFL 79

• Academic IELTS 6

The above doesn’t apply to native speakers of English who have completed their education in a country where English is the official language or to graduates from English medium institutions requiring a minimum of 500 TOEFL score or its equivalent for undergraduate admission.

• Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

• Students must successfully complete all the course requirements-33 credit hours, as well as other academic activities that are assigned to their specialized study plan.

• For graduation purposes, the students’ cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0.

ACADEMIC LOADThe academic load for the MBA program is:

• The total program load is 33 credit hours.

• The maximum academic load is 12 credit hours per semester.

• Students who pursue the program on a part-time basis have up to three years to complete the degree requirements.

Academic Advising:Students are requested to utilize the academic advising service available in COBA to help them in setting up their graduation plans according to their programs’ study plans and course offerings. The postgraduate academic advising process should be initiated and revised with the postgraduate advisor. In addition, the program directors and Postgraduate faculty are available for further academic advising.

TUITION FEESThe tuition fee for pre-core, core and elective courses is AED 2,300 per credit. Students at ADU are also required to pay other minimal fees to attend the University. These fees are listed on the ADU Website. Costs of books and supplies are not included in the tuition fees. ADU reserves the right to change tuition and other fee rates at any time, with one semester advance notice given to students. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.

Application Process

Step 1 Complete the MBA Application Form. This form can be obtained by:

Visiting our campuses in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain

Visiting: www.adu.ac.ae

Step 2 Submit the MBA Application Form to the Abu Dhabi University Postgraduate Admissions Office with the 350 AED application fee and supporting documents.

Step 3 Receive a Letter of Acceptance which is issued after the application is reviewed by the Admissions Office and the Program Director.

Step 4 Register for your program.

How to Apply

Regular MBA information sessions will be held throughout the year to familiarize interested individuals and companies with the MBA programs. Detailed and individualized one-on-one MBA information sessions can also be arranged by simply contacting the Graduate Programs Director via email at: [email protected].
