Perth TheatreCALUM’S ROAD

Calum MacLeod, having battled the inaction of

authorities on Raasay for years, sets off alone with

a pick, a shovel and a wheelbarrow to build a road

that will connect up the island.

His unpaid labour of love was to dominate the last

20 years of his life and leave behind a legacy - both

practical and poetic - carved into the landscape.

Based on MacLeod’s own copious letters to the

Stornoway Gazette, newspaper articles and

Roger Hutchinson’s novel of the same name,

Scots playwright David Harrower offers audiences

a richly detailed and unhurried description of a

A Horsecross Arts production

Written by Alan McHughDirected by Rachel O’Riordan

Ugly sisters have all the fun. They’ve pulled on their fancy clothes and gone to the royal party, but poor Cinderella must stay behind in her rags to tidy up after them!

Her heart may be pure and true, but will Cinders ever dance at a ball? Will she meet her handsome prince and live happily ever after? Will she even some decent shoes?

One thing is for sure, she is going to need more than a Fairy Godmother to help her. So please warm up your singing voices, break out your boos and cheers and join Cinderella and friends in Perth’s beautiful theatre for a magical festive treat.

Brought to you by the same team who created last year’s acclaimed and fun-filled Mother Goose and packed with great songs, amazing dance routines and plenty of laughter, this enchanting ‘rags-to-riches’ tale, officially the nation’s favourite panto, is the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.
