This piece of art is the Red Jaguar Throne .This sculpture may have been a throne for the high priest .It is a Jaguar figure coloured in Red .They used very sharpened geometrical for model this throne.

 

The jade was used for the eyes and the spots on the coat, while the Jaguar is fangs were made for flint.

 

This sculpture was found at Chichen Itza in the Castillo and it belongs to the classic period .There are four snakes made of small turquoise jewels which are symbol of fertility and the cross also symbolises the north, south, east and west.

The title of this piece of art is; Vessel with dancing Snake Man.

The two dancing figures are Gods of Death.There is blood around their necks, and a red spiral shape on their abdomens that represent the internal organs, and a monstrous snake is rising up their backs.It is made of panted terracotta. It belongs to Classic period, A.D 250-900. The circular designs between the figures may refer to the ritual of blood sacrifice, performed to appease the gods, and the red and black design at the base is similar to weaving patterns that may symbolise life and death.

This piece of art is: two-headed serpent. It shows a two-headed serpent. It is a symmetrical figure. It is made of wood, encrusted with a mosaic of turquoise and shell. This two-headed serpent (now in the British Museum) dates from the 14th or 15th century. The Aztecs used this symbol after the Maya. It was one of the symbols of Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain.
