Israel is filled up with flowers , butterflies , sun and a lot of green

בנושא הדגל ערכנו השוואה בין ישראל ולדגלים של הטלית לדגל

ארצות אחרות בעולם.

While talking about our flag, we compared it to the” Talit” and to flags of other countries in the

world.

My flag is blue and white!

Every child brought from his home an old pillow-cover as part of our recycling project.

The children decorated it with their hands as a symbol for peace and we hanged them on our wall as “Yom Hatzmaut” flags.

After the holiday we will stitch them to each other and turn them into “A tent of peace” which will be in our class yard and will help us solve social problems. It will be like Abraham’s tent which was known for his ability to make peace between people

במושב שבי ציון קיימת אנדרטה לחיילי השייטת שנספו וביניהם דוד של אחד הילדים "רם לוינס" .לכן, ערכנו טקס אל מול האנדרטה..

הטקס היה מרגש, הילדים הניחו ורדים שרנו שירים ועמדנו דום בצפירה.

In the memorial day, we went to Shavey Zion monument which is dedicated to the IDF marines who were killed while guarding our country. One of the children’s uncle Rum Levin, who died while serving in the marines is part of that stone memorial so we did a very touching ceremony , put flowers , sang songs and stood still while hearing the

siren .

Let us pray for peace in our country- Amen!
