ALTHOUGH SIX OF THE ATTENDEES WERE WITHOUT THEIR MORGAN IT WAS STILL QUITE A SIGHT! EL)ERYTHIND FROM NORM TRALJER'S 1632 JAP BARREL BACK THREE WHEELER TO AN EARLY +8, A LATE +8, AND THE USUAL GAMUT OF -k/'-±'S AND +'S. THE TRIKE, BY THE WAY, HAD AN UNPAINTED ALUMINUM BODY AND IT WAS PERFECT! NOT UNTIL THE PICNIC WAS CONCLUDING DID IT START TO DRIZZLE, BUT NOT ENDUGHT TO DAMPEN OUR SPIRITS AS WE PARADED ALL THOSE MORGANS OUT ONTO THE FREEWAY.

AFTER A SHORT TRIP THE GROUP EXITED I-S AND BOB NELSON LEO US ON A DELIGHTFUL, IF CIRCUITOUS AND CURIOUS (SIDE TRIP THROUGH AN OLD CHURCH YARD AND CEMETERY!) AND BY THIS TIME SOMEWHAT DAMP TOUR OF THE PICTURESQUE FARM LAND SURROUNDING LAONNER.

THE LINE-UP AT THE LACONNER COUNTRY INN

UPON OUR ARRILJAL IN LAONNER, ELJERYDNE CHECKED INTO THEIR ROOMS AND MADE PREPARATIONS FOR THE "EMERGENCY" MEETING AT THE PUB. AND THEN IT WAS OFF TO DINNER ON THE WATERFRONT WHERE TWENTY TWO ENTHUSIASTS AND FRIENDS ENJOYED A GREAT MEAL AND FELLOWSHIP. BOB AND LORETTA EL.JEN PRDL.JIDED DECORATIONS AND PHOTO COLLECTIONS FOR THE MEMBERS TO ENJOY.

INTO THE NIGHT THE PARTYING WENT AS THE GROUP RETREATED ID ONE OF THE GUEST ROOMS AT THE INN. MANY STORIES WERE TOLD AND SALUTED BEFORE WE RELUCTANTLY CALLED IT A NIGHT.

SUNDAY MORNING MOST OF THE CREW GATHERED IN THE COZY FIREPLACE ROOM FOR CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AND MORE MORGAN TALK. ALTHOUGH BY NOW THE FOLKS WITH THE FARTHEST TO TRAVEL WERE BEGINNING TO SNIVEL A BIT ABOUT THE RIDE QUALITY OF THEIR CHOSEN VEHICLE. GREEENE'S OCCUPANTS WERE FCED WITH MORE THAN FIVE HOURS OF PAVEMENT (REAR END?) POUNDING WHICH THEY WISELY SPLIT INTO TWO DAYS TRAVEL.

Bristol Motors in conjunction with the British Motorcar Club of Victoria is

sponsoring the second annual British Car Picnic on Sunday the 22nd of June from

10:00 am to 4:00 pm in Beacon Hill Park. Last year over 350 cars attended this

event, some from as far away as Oregon. This years picnic promises to be even

larger with British car clubs from all over the Pacific Northwest planning to

attend. Don't miss this opportunity to see a wide variety of both vintage and

modern British cars and to meet the people who own them. If you have a British
