BoE Investment Road Show

Page 2: May News

We are fortunate to have BoE Private Clients amongst our list of valued clients. One of their investment road shows

were hosted by Tramonto this past month. “Money never sleeps” is their motto. It’s an expression of their passion

and determination to make your money work as hard as it possibly can. BoE Private Clients gives over 600 days per

annum to community service and has sponsored numerous sporting events and contributed to various social causes

by donating funds. We look forward to their next event.

Choose the right suppliers!

Choosing suppliers to help you with all your wedding extras such as flowers, draping, décor, etc can be a tricky task. Unfortunately there are people in every industry who are not as passionate about their work as you would like them to be. Before choosing your supplier make sure about these four issues:

• Ask to see some of their previous work and where they have been involved before.

• Every supplier worth his salt will be able to show you a portfolio of their work containing pictures and ideas; this is a very good indication of the level of service they will provide.

• Get some references form them; it’s always a good idea to talk to someone who have used them before.

• Ask them how long have they been in the industry; this will also tell you a bit about their level of experience.

This should give a pretty good guideline; there is nothing worse than décor that is anything less than perfect, so make sure you get the best person to ensure everything is of high standard on your wedding day.

Wonki WareWonki WareWonki WareWonki Ware

Wonki What? Di Marshall is an innovative entrepreneur who started Wonki Ware in 1999 in George. In an endeavour

to provide employment to unskilled and uneducated South Africans, she devised a method of manufacturing

tableware that is easy to teach and relatively easy to learn. Each item is individually hand crafted with its own unique

style, not to mention good quality. These fantastic items are perfect to add a bit of flair to a function and can form

part of your décor for a garden or al fresco style wedding. The best news is that Wonki Ware is now not only available

for purchasing but can now be hired for functions and events as well!

As someone once said, Wonki Ware even makes an occasion of a fried egg!!

Imelda Marcos was the beautiful wife and confidante of Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The Marcos regime

(1965 – 1986) was marked by notorious corruption, political repression and gross financial irregularities. But that is

not all Imelda Marcos is famous (or infamous) for. The former Miss Manila was known for her exuberant shopping

sprees and she accumulated over 2700 pairs of high fashion shoes, which was discovered in her closets by opposition

forces! From then on the name Imelda has been used to describe the many women (and men) who love shoes, those

who love to buy them, those who like to look at them and those who simply have to possess them in every

imaginable colour.

So for a moment forget about your “choo’s” and let me entice your inner Imelda (you know you have one) with a bit

of Errol. That would be Errol Arendz.

Errol graduated with top honours from the Fashion Academy in JHB in 1973. He studied and worked in Paris and

London in the 70s, absorbing the best of that era. Over the years Errol has shrewdly honed his personal style into a

brand that has few equals on the continent. You can get your very own pair by heading over to the Tramonto Bridal

Studio to view the full bridal shoe collection and place your order with one of the planners.

Elandri & Gerhard

Gerhard and Elandri met through a mutual friend when they were in high school in Riebeeckstad, Free State, and had

an instant connection. “We were each others’ real first love... As the years went by and school turned into university

at Bloemfontein, our paths started going in separate directions.”

Elandri travelled abroad and Gerhard started working in Hartenbos; however, they never lost contact and would

always catch up every once in a while. Upon returning to SA Elandri started a new job in JHB and Gerhard kept

buying her plane tickets to visit him… As God’s destiny would have it, mutual friendship and respect gradually grew

Page 8: May News

into powerful love. “Before I knew it, he had won me over and I left JHB to start my new life with my first love in

Mosselbay!”

“We got engaged on the balcony of our current residence. I was having a bad day and Gerhard spontaneously pulled

out my early birthday present to cheer me up.... I never suspected an engagement ring!!! The proposal was heartfelt

and real, just like my husband is.”

“Our wedding was a fairytale event, tailor made to perfection. A union of all our family and friends made it extra

special! It was a privilege to have my father marry us, there was a magic moment when we said our vows. We had

such a good time, and we are looking forward to the rest of our lives being even more of an adventure than the first

part.”

Richen & Eaton

Page 9: May News

For these two love birds Tramonto was the obvious choice for their wedding day. “Our wedding was fairytale-perfect!

Tramonto ensured that a stress-free bride and groom had a dream day.”

Richen and Eaton met by chance when the bride’s mother asked Eaton for some help to install a television set. In Richen’s

words: “We had such ‘n ball spending time together that for the next year we did not stop visiting each other!”

On the 10th of June 2007 on a Cape Town breakaway, Eaton asked the big question. The couple decided that Eaton will finish

his studies before they take the big step.

Finally in March 2009, while on a romantic boat trip, Eaton surprised Richen with a sparkling stone and as the saying goes –

the rest is history!
