PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2017 RNFOO Gala! This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather as nurses, educators, and future nurses. I am happy that you are here to celebrate with us.
Over the past year, RNFOO has distributed more than $128,000 to 92 recipients. It is truly satisfying to be involved in RNFOO's mission of enhancing and advancing nursing practice and contributing to the health of individuals in Ontario. Later in our program tonight we will take a few moments to recognize a very special nurse leader: Dorothy M. Wylie. Named an honorary life member of RNFOO in 2008, Dorothy continues to support the Foundation and the nursing profession. We are pleased to announce tonight the Dorothy M. Wylie Scholarship.
I would like to thank all RNFOO supporters: donors, award sponsors, board and committee members. Your contributions have an impact on nursing education in our province. We are doing important work. Please share the good news about what RNFOO is accomplishing, so we can meet even more of the need for support for nurses and nursing students.
I trust that you will enjoy the evening, and I hope that we'll meet up here again next year!
