A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES TO SING!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 16, 9:00 am to NOON

The St. James Music Ministry will be holding a Vocal Workshop on Saturday, June 16, from 9:00 am until noon in Murphy Hall.

New to the area, Georgia Stockman is a classically trained soprano from New York where she sang profession-ally for 30 years. Topics to be covered at the workshop include proper breathing, posture, vowel pro-nunciation, consonant usage and other vocal techniques.

All cantors, choir members and liturgical ministers are invited, as well as any member of the parish who has con-sidered joining the music ministry at St. James. You do not need to read music to attend. Whether you're a seasoned vocalist who would just like a tune-up or a novice with a good ear, this workshop is for you!

Please bring a bottle of water, a notebook, a pencil, and the glorious voice God gave you!! Questions may be ad-dressed to Georgia at [email protected].

EUCHARISTIC MIRACLES EXHIBIT Shrine Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe

May 31 - June 3

Throughout Christian history, our Lord has shown us that He is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Interestingly, many Eucharistic miracles have oc-curred during times of weakened Faith. For instance, many Eucharistic miracles have taken place as a result of someone doubting the Real Presence.

Most Eucharistic miracles involve incidences in which the Host has “turned into human flesh and blood”. Of course, we as Catholics believe that the consecrated Host is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divin-ity of our Lord, under the appearances of bread and wine. Therefore, Jesus, through these miracles, mere-ly manifests His Presence in a more tangible way.

With an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions, this Exhibit will present many of the principal Eucharistic Miracles that took place throughout the ages in various countries of the world and which have been recognized by the Church.

ENCOUNTER CHRIST IN THE SACRAMENTS

As a catechist, catechetical leader or deacon, do you want to help cultivate in others a desire for God? Do you want your students to experience the Sacra-ments as a life-changing encounter with Christ rather than an empty ritual? As a parent, do you want your children to participate in Mass beyond “Sit, Stand, and Kneel”? Then please join us for “The Witnesses for Christ Conference” August 10-11 at Blessed Sacra-ment Parish in La Crosse. For a brochure with further details, a poster or to register, visit: http://diolc.org/catechesis/

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION

Please join us in this year’s Corpus Christi Proces-sion, on Sunday, June 3.

To include parishioners attending both the 9:30 and 11:00 am Masses, the Procession will begin at 10:45 am. The Procession will circle the parish block, accompanied by songs and prayers.

The Extraordinary Form Mass will begin after the procession, about 11:30 am.
