Knott’s Berry Farm will celebrate the 75thanniversary of its historic old west GhostTown from May 27 through Sept. 5.

To mark 75 years of Ghost Town, Knott’swill reopen GhostRider, the longest, tallest,and fastest wooden roller coaster on the WestCoast on May 27 following a completerestoration. As part of the summer 2016celebration,

Knott’s will also introduce a newinteractive entertainment experience calledGhost Town Alive!. Ghost Town Alive! allowsguests to play an active role in shaping whathappens throughout the town every daythrough Sept. 5.

Knott’s also announced the opening of itsfirst Starbucks on March 18 in the CaliforniaMarketPlace, just outside the Park’s mainentrance. The new store will offer Starbuck’sworld-class coffee drinks and entrees.

Adjacent to Starbucks is Mrs. Knott’sChicken Dinner Restaurant, which has

undergone a comprehensive renovation. Theproject refreshed and preserved the original“tea room” dining room and brought cosmeticand thematic upgrades throughout therestaurant’s other dining areas.

Throughout the restaurant’s four maindining rooms and two banquet rooms, allfurniture, flooring, lighting, and décor wererenovated. The large dining room to the rightof the main entrance was remodeled with alook inspired by Mrs. Knott’s kitchen pantry.

For the first time, a new outdoor seatingarea on the restaurant’s north side will allowguests to dine al fresco with beautiful andunique views of the MarketPlace fountain,the theme park’s Ghost Town, and the newlyrestored GhostRider roller coaster.

The busy kitchen that services one of themost popular restaurants in the world willalso be modernized, while the culinary teamcarefully preserves the recipes andtechniques that make the restaurant special.

The display offers a unique andeducational approach to learning sevendifferent fairy tales throughout history andfrom around the world.

Best suited for ages 2-10, visitors willexperience stories through playinginstruments, climbing and crawling whilelistening to the cultural impact and history ofeach tale.

The fairy tales include Anansi and theTalking Melon, Beauty and the Beast,Cinderella, The Elves and the Shoemaker,Jack and the Beanstalk, Lon Po Po andThumbelina.

“Why sit and listen when you can get upand do? We’re excited to debut Once Upon aTime for a truly immersive and hands-onlearning experience,” said Scott Dunagan,Bowers Museum Vice President of ExternalAffairs. “Kidseum believes that engagement isthe key to education and we’re looking

forward to sharing this with our localcommunity and Orange County visitors.”

Once Upon a Time is a traveling exhibit,developed by Magic House at the St. LouisChildren’s Museum in partnership with the St.Louis Public Library. Magic House comes toBowers Museum after 30 years of curatingexhibits for children encouragingexperimentation and creativity.

Once Upon A Time is available in Englishand Spanish and debuted on April 16. Visitorshave access to the exhibit during thefollowing days and times:
